'This is a painting done outdoors. Since 2002 I have started to explore light and shade more often, so the work is becoming by neccesity a little more "impressionist". Trees are such a vague color, basically grey, often with a touch of green. City people may find scenes like this romantic, but to those who live in the rural world, they are just everyday life.' |
