'This is an outdoor oil painting. This field exploded into thistles for two years and then, just as suddenly, the next year they were goneI i suppose they used up some vital minerals and other plants took over. This field totally changes its nature every couple of years, so I will never really get tired of it. Blueweed, thistles, burdock and snapdragons all take their turn. Horses frequently graze it, so sometimes it is like a golf course.' |
